Mr Jivajothi Jeyathevan

Mr Jivajothi Jeyathevan enjoys the broad scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery including all aspects of dentoalveolar surgery (removal of teeth, including wisdom teeth, placement of implants and bone grafts), facial trauma, pathology and corrective jaw surgery.

JJ currently holds positions at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne and Monash Health Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Unit.

JJ grew up in Perth and began his surgical training by completing a Bachelor of Science with honours at the University of Western Australia.  He completed his dental degree at the University of Adelaide and following that attended the University of New South Wales where he completed his medical degree.  Additional to this a Masters of Trauma Science with Distinction was gained through Queen Mary University of London. He then successfully completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Fellowship through the South Australian & Victorian training programme. He recently has completed the Epworth Stryker Craniomaxillofacial Surgery Fellowship in Melbourne.

Outside work, JJ enjoys spending time with his dogs and young family. He enjoys all sports and is an avid supporter of Manchester United, West Coast Eagles and the Australian cricket team. He has adopted the Melbourne Victory as his local Victorian Team.
